The best day of my life

On August 1st, 2014 at 11am I married my best friend. That day will always and forever be remembered as the best day of my life. Chris and I were supposed to meet at the temple at 9am that morning to do the first look and some bridal shots. I was a little rushed getting ready but thanks to my dad's mad driving skills we got there right on time :) The first look was something I dreamed about doing for a really long time. I was so excited to see Chris in his tux and I couldn't wait to see the expression on his face when he saw me in my dress.
For some reason Chris was still worried about seeing me before the photographer said she was ready,so he made sure to shut his eyes even though I was behind him. Haha.
Getting closer!!!
At last <3

If I ever had any doubts about marrying Chris, they were all forever swept away as soon as I saw him that beautiful morning at the temple. Everything felt right and I knew I wanted to spend all of forever with that wonderful man. He is my better half, my new dream. I love him to the moon and back and I know that our love will only grow stronger with each passing day.
I have to say that choosing to be married in the temple, and living in such a way as to warrant that, has been the best decision of my entire life. I know I chose the right man to be sealed to and the right place to be married in. I cannot express how grateful I am to the family members and the church leaders and amazing adults in my life that guided me towards my goal of a temple marriage. It has brought me all the joy in the world.
The classic "I just got married"Mormon pose

Just to warn you there will be lots and lots of pictures! Can't say I didn't warn you :)

Looking back at these pictures really makes me want to wear my dress again... I cannot believe I found the dress of my dreams at the first store I went to! Of course the dress is in my closet right now... Chris is asleep and it would be easy just to slip into it for a bit, to reminisce... Haha.

Anyways, I really do love how these pictures turned out. Some of these pictures are actually ones my family took from the sidelines as they watched us get our pictures taken. Others are shots my grandpa       took and did an amazing job with. And of course the rest are from the professional photographer.

It was during these moments that I felt like everything was perfect, because, honestly they really were. During the 10 months Chris and I dated we were inseparable. Sometimes it felt like we dated a lot longer than that because of how much time we spent together. If you asked me a year ago if I saw myself being married at 19 I would have said you were crazy. Goes to show what love can do to you I guess :) But a temple marriage with the man I love, my better half, my best friend-is pretty much as good as it gets, regardless of your age, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Of course this day would not have been complete without the friends and family who helped make our special day that much better. Thank you so much to everyone who came, it meant the world to us and we are so grateful for all that you did to share this day with us.

Our Moms & Dads

Chris and his mom, so sweet :)

My mom is my best friend and I love her so much :)

Chris and his dad. Look how happy they are!

My dad is the greatest!

Bridesmaids & Groomsmen

The beautiful Sayre, Vanessa, Alexa and Heather were my bridesmaids. They are each such big parts of life and  I love every one of them so much.

And of course the wedding day isn't complete without a goofy shot with the Bridesmaids :) Love this one.
My Maid of Honor, Alexa. We have been
through a lot together and she is always
someone I can count on. Love you, Alexa!

Chris' brother, Greg, or better known that day as the Best Man.
Greg was a HUGE help with the wedding and reception and even
drove our moving truck down to the Tri-Cities for us. Thanks Greg!

                                      The rest of the Fam

Chris' family and now my family too! Two of his siblings couldn't make it. But I am so glad four of them could!
My family <3 Thank you for teaching me all the wonderful things that I need to know to start my own family. I love you all so much. I will always be a Duffy :)

Dallin is ALMOST smiling in this one! Look at those new brothers :)

I HAD to include this one because Dallin is actually
smiling! I love my little brother so much.

The kiddos. I went from not being an aunt at all to suddenly being an aunt of 14! I am beyond excited to be apart of these adorable people's lives.

My cute cousins! Not the best picture of me but the way Coopers is staring up at me while holding his tractor is adorable. Also look at David and Henry rocking those suits! Preston looks very handsome and Aubry and Sierra look super, super pretty :)

And... Everyone :)

I felt so blessed to have so many family and friends come to the temple with us. Thank you all so much!

There are more pictures so I will probably have to make a second blog post about the wedding day and of course talk about the receptions! Thank you for reading my blog. I hope to post about once a week to keep anyone that may be interested up to date our exciting newlywed adventures in good ol' Texas.
